Bishop Heiner Wilmer announces that he will bring to Rome the experience of same-sex couples

German Bishops’ Conference president Bishop Heiner Wilmer says he will bring the “experiences” of homosexual couples to Rome for the Vatican’s Amoris Laetitia summit.
Wilmer told katholisch.de that he prepared for the meeting, which begins tomorrow, by speaking with homosexuals and adulterers in a "second union".
Pope Leo XIV has stacked the meeting’s additional invitees with several pro-homosexual cardinals, including Jean-Claude Hollerich, Blase Cupich, Robert McElroy, Joseph Tobin, Víctor Manuel Fernández, José Cobo Cano and Luis Antonio Tagle.
Notably absent from Leo XIV’s 22 additional invitees are prominent critics of developments surrounding Amoris Laetitia, including Dubia Cardinal Raymond Burke and former Curia prefect Cardinal Gerhard Müller.

Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts, speaking at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh last weekend, asked why a young man would want to become a priest:
“If what he hears is, well, you will become the administrator of eight parishes, and your diary will be filled with meetings, and above all, you must avoid offending anyone, and after 20 years someone may present you with a strategy plan on sustainable property management.”
“It’s astonishing that anyone turns up at all.”

Why would anybody want to become a priest?

Thousands of Canadians took part in the 36th annual Life Chain on October 4. Coordinated nationally by Campaign Life Coalition, the event brought participants to intersections and busy streets across Canada for an hour of quiet prayer and peaceful pro-life witness. Participants held signs including “Abortion Kills Children,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” and “Jesus Forgives and Heals.” Life Chain began in Canada in 1991.

Life Chain Across Canada 2026 Today, Sunday, October 4, our parish together with other parishes in the area participated in the annual Life Chain. It's sponsored by the organization Campaign Life Coalition. They advocate for the protection of human life and family in Canada. The Life Chain is a one hour, from 2-3pm, silent witness of prayer and peaceful public witness for the preborn. Some 375 communities across Canada take part in the event to promote life. This year marks the 36th anniversary of this pro-life witness. Here's the statement from CLC: On Sunday, October 4, thousands of Christians across North America will gather for Life Chain, an annual hour of prayer and peaceful public witness for the preborn whose lives have been snuffed out by abortion. Now in its 36th year in Canada, Life Chain has become one of the country’s largest coordinated pro-life demonstrations. The tradition began in Canada in 1991, when Campaign Life Coalition brought Life Chain north from the United States …

The Rosary: A Most Extraordinarily Efficacious Devotion
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
To be a devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary for a Catholic is not a matter of preference, inclination or sympathy, much less sentimentality. It is a matter of life or death, since it involves effectively wanting or not eternal salvation.
If it is true that the only necessary mediator between Heaven and Earth is Our Lord Jesus Christ, it is also certain that no grace is communicated to man without the intercession of the Most Holy Virgin Mother of God. This is how Divine Providence was pleased to arrange the supernatural order.
It is therefore very important for the faithful to honor Mary Most Holy with tender, filial and strong devotion, using the means that best contribute to maintaining in their souls the sentiments of true love and deep veneration for the Holy Mother of God.
Singular among these means, in the very authoritative opinion of the Roman Pontiffs, stands the frequent recitation of the …Lokwengentiwe

A Hungarian priest has apologised after criticising Prime Minister Péter Magyar’s Tisza party and its supporters.
Rev. Zoltán Osztie made the remarks during a Eucharist in Feldebrő on 26 September. He described Tisza as an “unbelieving, immoral and traitorous” political force. He added that Christians who vote for the party “understand nothing” of the Gospel.
The Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest criticised the priest’s comments. It claimed insulting or labelling people because of their political views is not in line with Christian teaching.
Church authorities formally warned Rev. Osztie and asked him to remove the video of the sermon from parish websites and social media. He was also told to avoid similar statements in the future.
On 6 October, Rev. Osztie apologised to those who felt personally offended by his words. However, he did not withdraw his criticism of Tisza. He said he had intended to criticise a political worldview rather than individual people and maintained that, in his …Lokwengentiwe

I read as far as I could, before my email address was required. Maybe the part of the article I didn't access says something about Vitamin D damaging the kidneys. But, many of us found out the hard way that taking mega-doses of Vitamin D to enhance immunity to all of the coronavirus variants that were going around a few years ago, wasn't such a great idea. In my case, a timely blood test alerted me to the problem. I immediately stopped taking Vitamin D and my kidney function returned to normal. (Whew that was close!)

Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts mocked claims of a Catholic “springtime” at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh last weekend:
“If I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican.”
“Catholics today fall in two groups. There are those who think the Church is experiencing an unprecedented springtime and those who have actually looked at the statistics.”

Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of ’s-Hertogenbosch: “I do not have to spend very much time convincing this audience that there is a crisis. And indeed, if I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican. And perhaps this is already the first difficulty. Catholics today fall in two groups. There are those who think the Church is experiencing an unprecedented springtime and those who have actually looked at the statistics.”

A WhatsApp post by an Italian bishop’s secretary showing Pride flags as a swastika sparked media coverage, prompting explanations from the secretary and two responses from his bishop.
The Italian city of Aosta held its third homosexual march on 26 September. That same day, Bishop Franco Lovignana’s secretary, Gilbert Turcotti, posted on his personal WhatsApp status a graphic showing four trans flags arranged to form a swastika. He accompanied it with the words “Questione di prospettiva…” (“A matter of perspective…”). Turcotti subsequently deleted the post.
When GazzettaMatin.com contacted him about the image, Turcotti replied: “It seemed like a nice colourful design to me.”
According to Bobine.tv, Turcotti said that he had deleted it because the day was over and repeated that he thought it was a colourful design. When the swastika was pointed out, he replied: “Well, look, sometimes, coincidence. I have nothing to say.”
According to La Verità, the following evening Turcotti said that he …Lokwengentiwe
