Saint Bernardine of Siena: "the vice of sodomy ... is the greatest sin." Revelation 22:15 Others must remain outside: the dogs,[sodomites, male prostitutes, unfaithful leaders] the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices deceit. Jude 7 just as Sodom and Gomor′rah and the surrounding cities, which likewise acted immorally and indulged in unnatural lust, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. “Why, I ask, O damnable sodomites, do you seek after the height of ecclesiastical dignity with such burning ambition? Why do you seek with such longing to snare the people of God in the web of your perdition?” St. Peter Damian

(This article appeared in the pages of the Frontier Centre on May 7th) By Marco Navarro-Genie The University of Lethbridge creates the conditions it later cites to restrict free speech On the afternoon of April 25, Frances Widdowson, a former Mount Royal University professor, walked into a near-empty cafeteria at the University of Lethbridge (UofL) and sat down with a student for coffee. She was not holding a rally. She was not disrupting a class. Just a woman of grandmotherly age having a conversation, which is, one might have thought, the foundational act of university life. Lethbridge police arrested her for trespassing. The trespass order exists because university bureaucrats declared Widdowson a health and safety risk. It is worth pausing on that phrase before …
Medforth AI Two new pro-life bills have been introduced in the U.K.’s House of Lords. The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) reported that Lord Daniel Moylan and Baroness Nuala O’Loan have each introduced a pro-life bill to the House of Lords. Both bills will receive their first reading in June. Moylan’s “Complications from Abortions (Annual Report) Bill” aims to pressure the government to ensure transparency and accurate reporting of complications in relation to abortion procedures. Complication rates in the U.K. may be significantly higher than officially reported, a 2023 government review revealed. A data analysis from statistics in England between 2017 and 2021 revealed that abortion providers reported a complication rate of 1.52 per 1,000 abortions, while hospital data showed a significantly higher complication rate of 4.06 per 1,000. According to SPUC, the figure could be even higher since 1 in 17 at-home abortions (so-called “pills-by-post” abortions) result …
Authored by Mohamed Moutii via the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) Over the past decade, Europe has played a leading role in shaping global climate policy, highlighted by the launch of the European Green Deal in 2019—Ursula von der Leyen described it as a “man on the moon moment.” The initiative aims to make Europe the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050 while fostering innovation and strengthening its industrial base. Yet several years later, the results are deeply disappointing. Instead of meeting its goals, the Green Deal is increasingly associated with higher energy costs, weakened competitiveness, and growing political backlash. It has deepened divisions within the EU, strained global relations, and increased pressure on households and businesses—raising serious doubts about its feasibility and long-term economic impact. How Green Ideology Undermines Europe’s Economy Europe’s economic stagnation points to a deeper structural problem in its energy …

How the $1.8 Billion Trump Fund May Violate Past Practice and Policy The fund that could offer payouts to Trump allies who accuse the government of mistreatment is not only highly unusual but also appears to violate the administration’s own policies. nytimes.com/2026/05/20/us/politics/trump-fund-exp… The $1.8 billion fund created by the Trump administration this week to pay people who claim mistreatment by the federal government appears to violate longstanding Justice Department standards and practices, as well as a policy directive issued by the administration last year, legal experts said on Wednesday. Todd Blanche, the acting attorney general, defended the fund at a Senate hearing on Tuesday, calling it “unusual” but insisting it was appropriate and reflective of past settlements. Justice Department veterans have been deeply skeptical of those claims, particularly when it comes to a provision in the deal that offers President Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr., and the …More

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 17,20-26. Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying: "I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me. And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. Father, they are your gift to me. I wish that where I am they also may be with me, that they may see my glory that you gave me, because you loved me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, the world also does not know you, but I know you, and they know that you sent me. I made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them."
…More

She was so devout and so fervent that she put to shame by her holy life even the strictest religious in the Church. Having decided to ask St. Dominic advice about her spiritual life she asked him to hear her confession. For penance he gave her one whole Rosary to say and advised her to say it everyday, she said she had no time to say it. The tray of her good works was greatly outweighed by that of her sins and imperfections. Wednesday, 21st May 1913 T. B. Felder Repudiates Report of Activity for Frank Wednesday, May 21st, 1913 Stories That He Was Retained by Prisoner's Friends Silly, He Declares. Mystery piles up upon mystery in the Phagan case. Colonel Thomas B. Felder was asked Wednesday afternoon by The Georgian to reply to rumors circulating on the street, all making the general charge that he had been retained by friends of Leo Frank, prisoner in the Phagan case, and that his object in bringing the great detective, William J. Burns, here, was not to aid the prosecution. Colonel Felder said: "Any stories to that effect are silly and ridiculous—if nothing worse. Anybody who knows me or Mr. Burns knows that we would not lend ourselves to any scheme to block justice. Mr. Burns in hunting down a criminal can not be stopped. He could have made a million dollars by listening to the importunities of friends of the McNamaras in the dynamiting cases, but he is above price." Loath to Discuss Rumors. Mr. Felder …More
Acts of the Apostles 22,30.23,6-11. Wishing to determine the truth about why Paul was being accused by the Jews, the commander freed him and ordered the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin to convene. Then he brought Paul down and made him stand before them. Paul was aware that some were Sadducees and some Pharisees, so he called out before the Sanhedrin, "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of Pharisees; (I) am on trial for hope in the resurrection of the dead." When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the group became divided. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection or angels or spirits, while the Pharisees acknowledge all three. A great uproar occurred, and some scribes belonging to the Pharisee party stood up and sharply argued, "We find nothing wrong with this man. Suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?" The dispute was so serious that the commander, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, ordered his troops …More
