A firefighter stood by for fire safety. Local politicians and officials condemned the act as blasphemous and disrespectful of religious feeling.

"This is the rotten comedy of the age." Occult mockery at its finest! And to say," They refuse certain fundamental elements of the Church, beginning with several points of the Second Vatican Council." Is an outright lie! And also the writer says, " The SSPX profession says exactly that." I didn't read that in the profession so I think the writer is way off base making that assertion. V2 isn't the problem or nexus. It is the errors of Russia, and Archbishop Lefebvre knew that!
Ursula von der Leyen celebrated Budapest Pride on X, writing: "The streets of Budapest are filled with joy and pride... I am so glad that the LGBTIQ+ community in Hungary can finally march without fear." One user pushed back, replying: "There was no fear even under Orbán. What are you talking about? They were safer here in Hungary than in your country. I'm tired of your nonsense about Orbán's Hungary. He was right about almost everything."

Every 29 June, within St Peter’s Basilica, one of the most striking Catholic traditions returns. The vesting of the statue of Saint Peter, including the cope and the tiara.
Today, Leo XIV issued the Motu Proprio Confirma Fratres Tuos, which replaces the apostolic constitution In Ecclesiarum Communione, promulgated by Pope Francis in January 2023, which governed the vicariate of Rome. According to the new constitution: • The Cardinal Vicar regains primary executive authority over the Vicariate and assumes greater responsibility for its day-to-day governance while remaining accountable to the Pope. • The Episcopal Council is no longer a decision-making body, but rather a consultative one. The Cardinal Vicar will chair it rather than the Pope. • A new office, the Moderator Curiae, is established. The Moderator Curiae is appointed for a five-year term to coordinate the Vicariate's offices, oversee personnel, and manage administrative operations. • The Vicegerent continues in a supporting role while transferring many administrative coordination responsibilities to the Moderator Curiae. #newsEtjyapertd
Whenever Prevost (and, sadly, Bergoglio, his predecessor and mentor) makes an appointment it reminds one of the quote "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."
The Roman rite is "not an attack on the unity of the Church," Cardinal François-Xavier Bustillo, 57, of Ajaccio, France, told Italian daily Il Giornale on June 29. "The Church also has the Eastern rites, and even in the West we have many rites: I am thinking of the Ambrosian Rite, the Mozarabic Rite, or the Spanish Rite," the Spanish-born cardinal added. In his view, the difficulty arises only when "the search for greater radicality turns into rigidity". However, Cardinal Bustillo opposes the reversion of Traditionis Custodes. It would be "dangerous," he said, "to send the message that Francis was wrong and that Leo XIV is here to solve the problem." He believes Leo XIV "will give a response that is fair and well-calibrated." On the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X, he spoke of "a painful rupture for the Church." He lamented that any new break would come little more than a year into a pontificate centered on the words [!] "peace" and "unity." Picture: …Көбірек
Canada Day is a statutory holiday to mark the anniversary of the Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867. So on July 1 it's Canada's birthday. For the occasion, Toronto's Cardinal Frank Leo has released a good message. He rightly reflects on the meaning of being human, of freedom and truth. What kind of nation are we building? What are we celebrating? Here's what he says: My Dear Brothers and Sisters, May Jesus and Mary be in your hearts. In the coming days we will celebrate Canada Day, a time when we rightly commemorate what Canada is: a land of peace, opportunity, and security. Gratitude matters, and it is important to recognize our blessings and give thanks. Yet this year, I would invite the faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto to consider a deeper, more searching question undergirding our celebrations: “Who are we becoming?” not only as individuals, but as a nation. Many of the tensions we experience today—our debates, divisions, polarization and uncertainties—…
Vatican Appeal Court Upholds Conviction of Becciu Accuser: The Vatican Court of Appeal has upheld the conviction of Nicola Giampaolo for slandering Cardinal Angelo Becciu over his role at the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. The ruling confirms the Vatican Tribunal's October 2025 judgment, leaving Giampaolo's three-and-a-half-year prison sentence and damages in place. The case stemmed from Giampaolo's claims on the Italian TV program Report that money had been requested to advance the beatification cause of former Italian Prime Minister and personal friend of Pope Paul VI, Aldo Moro. The Vatican has now definitively ruled those allegations were criminal slander.
Cardinal Burke Sees "No State of Emergency": Ordaining bishops without a papal mandate will have to be punished, Cardinal Raymond Burke told PerMariam.com. He hopes Leo XIV will appoint cardinals to continue talks with the FSSPX, saying reconciliation remains possible. Cardinal Burke, a canon lawyer, rejected rumours that all FSSPX members could be declared excommunicated: "I don’t think that can be sustained". Furthermore, he dismissed the FSSPX's claim of a "state of emergency" to justify episcopal consecrations. While acknowledging serious difficulties in the Church, he insisted that Catholics must remain faithful within the Church: "No situation justifies doing something that is intrinsically evil."
VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — Cardinal Raymond Burke has given his assessment of the recent Extraordinary Consistory along with the upcoming episcopal consecrations of the Society of Saint Pius X, noting some remaining concerns about the consistory format, while lamenting the planed consecrations. Speaking with Per Mariam following the recent consistory, Cdl. Burke offered a summary of the event which drew just under 180 cardinals to Rome for the second such meeting of Leo XIV’s pontificate. As many have similarly done, Burke welcomed the return of consistory’s to the Vatican’s regular life, since it offers a chance to “discuss important questions with regard to the Church.” But he also raised his concerns about the small table “synodal” group method which has largely replaced the traditional open discussion. As for synodality itself, on which the cardinals were briefed during Saturday’s meeting, the American prelate said that it “remains unresolved.” “There really needs to be a …
Italian Bishops Commit to Interfaith State Religion. Worse than Germany: On 25 June, the Italian Bishops' Conference signed an interfaith agreement titled "The Italian Way of Dialogue: Religions in the Public Sphere and for Social Cohesion" together with representatives of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Baháʼí and other religious communities. After the signing, the signatories met President Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinale Palace to present him with a copy of the pact. He welcomed the initiative as a contribution to dialogue and social cohesion.
Please do not malign Pope Leo. It is not hardness of heart at all. He simply follows the Synodal Church mindset of "what I don't like must be wrong, what I do like must be right." "Licit" means in keeping with preexisting law and dogma. Pope Leo has not used the word that way because he literally hasn't been formed to understand that the Pope is not the source of truth but only the caretaker of the truth which was revealed ages ago and does not change with the times, public consensus or concrete situations.
Tue Jun 30, 2026 - 5:16 am EDTTue Jun 30, 2026 - 7:29 am EDT VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Leo has made a public appeal to the head of the traditionalist Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) not to carry out the episcopal consecrations planned for tomorrow, July 1. This morning, June 30, Pope Leo released a letter to Father Davide Pagliarani, the current head of the SSPX, his bishops, priests and seminarians, as well as the lay faithful “connected” to the Society, warning that the consecrations would be a “schismatic act.” [Full letter printed below.] “I plead with you and ask you with all my heart: please turn back!” the Pontiff wrote. “I urge you to consider carefully the spiritual good of the faithful, because the schismatic act you are about to undertake would deprive them of the licit and, in some cases, even valid reception of the Sacraments, which they love and seek for their sanctification.” In his letter, Pope Leo said that “to tear the seamless garment of Christ”–meaning …
Soccer in Front of the Altar. Worse than Germany: On June 21, the parish priest of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Reina del Clero in Mexico City invited fathers to celebrate Father’s Day by playing soccer inside the church’s nave around the 12:00 Eucharist. Wearing liturgical vestments, the priest also took part in the game. A goal was placed directly in front of the altar, and the fathers took turns shooting while parishioners applauded.

"Whoever, then, has the grace of greater understanding should beware of the danger of a harsher judgment if he or she is negligent. Whoever lacks understanding and intellectual brilliance should take advantage of the little he has and do what he can - for he has been saved from many occasions of sin. In youth even Peter the Apostle was forgetful, and John unlearned. Yet they grasped true wisdom in old age, for they sought the source of wisdom. Solomon was quick to learn when young, and Aristotle had a subtle mind. However, they did not grasp the origin of wisdom, for they neither glorified the giver of wisdom, as they should have, nor put into practice what they knew and taught, nor studied in order to improve themselves but to improve others."
[Saint Bridget of Sweden – XIV Century AD; born: Uppland, Sweden/doed: Rome, Papal States; Patron Saint of Europe, Widow, Mystic, Spiritual Writer] Fourth question. ”Why is intelligence and an extremely quick mind given to some people, while others are like mindless asses?” Answer to the fourth question. ”As to why some people are more intelligent, I answer: With regard to eternal salvation, abundant wisdom does not benefit the soul, unless she also shines with goodness of life. It is in fact more useful to have less knowledge but a better way of life. Accordingly, reason is measured out to all persons in such a way that they can gain heaven, if they lead godly lives. Yet the reasoning faculty differs in many people according to their natural and spiritual dispositions. Just as one person succeeds through virtue and Godsent zeal in perfecting the virtues, another can likewise fall into vanities through bad will and nature's bad disposition as well as an immoral upbringing. One's nature …Көбірек
