New Record: 14,000 Registered for Chartres Pilgrimage on First Day

Fourteen thousand people registered in a single day for the 2026 Notre-Dame de Chrétienté pilgrimage on the Paris–Chartres route, compared to 6,000 on the first day last year.
The pilgrimage will take place over Pentecost, from May 23 to 25, and is expected to gather 20,000 participants walking to Chartres.
A new, more accessible option - the “Jerusalem Route” - has been introduced. Shorter than the traditional 100 km walk (around 70 km), it is designed for those unable to complete the full distance. Like the main route, it also ends in Chartres, allowing more pilgrims to take part in the final stages of the pilgrimage.

Hundreds of empty seats during Leo XIV’s Easter Vigil: Matt Butorac, a Catholic pilgrimage guide, reported on X that there were “hundreds of empty seats” during the Easter Vigil at St Peter’s Basilica. The screenshots, taken from a video he shared for "those claiming it was not empty", show the basilica during the baptisms. Butorac attributes this to ticketing issues and disorganised queues. However, shortly before the Eucharist began, entry was permitted without tickets and everyone was able to enter.

EMTY SEATS: Catholic Traveler had a video on X.com from yesterday's Easter Night Eucharist with Leo XIV. Screenshots (fair use)

"Christian-Muslim dialogue" - Yuck! There is no dialoguing with muslims. You might as well be dialing-a-dog! We should not be dialoguing with anyone, we should be preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them and instructing them in the True Faith.

All Public Easter Liturgies in Dubai Cancelled

Following government directives, public Easter services in Dubai have been cancelled since Good Friday. The regime's excuse is that tensions in the Middle East are escalating.
Dubai has two Catholic parishes - Saint Mary's and Saint Francis of Assisi in Jebel Ali. Both have confirmed the closures on their websites and will remain closed "until further notice".
Saint Mary’s Church is one of the largest Catholic parishes in the world, with around 30,000 members, many of whom are Filipino workers. On Good Friday, many Catholics who had not been informed of the closure were seen praying outside on the pavement instead.
Easter liturgies were only being streamed online.
Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, acknowledged worshippers' disappointment at missing Holy Week celebrations.

MEANWHILE IN GERMANY:
Former FDP MP and Israel lobbyist Hartmut Ebbing was caught with child sexual abuse videos. He asked the court for a secret trial to protect the German-Israeli Society (DIG), where he was treasurer. The court agreed. He got a suspended sentence. Later convicted of abusing a 7-year-old. Only then did he resign, after nearly a year managing DIG funds, including German taxpayer money. Both FDP and DIG claimed they “knew nothing.”

Franca Giansoldati in the Vatican circus: a joke …
In the grotesque knot that has for years tightened around the Vatican, populated by impostors forever straining towards circles that continue to keep them at a distance, the tragicomic saga of certain self-styled Vatican experts and headline fabricators goes on unabated. They form part of a well-organised clique which now seems to have lost even the most basic sense of the ridiculous to which it has surrendered itself.
The April Fool’s joke that is not funny
Against this backdrop, at 9.29 a.m. on 1 April, Katholisch.de published an article claiming that Pope Leo XIV was intending, at least provisionally, to settle the dispute over the pre-conciliar liturgy through an unusual compromise. The piece attributed to the Pontiff a non-existent motu proprio, significantly entitled Retrograde semper, under which the faithful would supposedly have been permitted, during Mass, to turn their backs on the priest, regardless of which …sɔgbɔ ɖe edzi

Franca Giansoldati and Il Messaggero interpret Vatican Council II irrationally and not rationally. I had informed them about it. But they contine with the error since it is politically correct with the Left. They are schismatic on Vatican Council II, the Creeds and all the Catechism which mention the dogma extra ecc, lesiam nulla salus, which they do not want to affirm, but have to, when the Council and Catechism are interpreted rationally. No one speaks ahout this at the Vatican Press Conference. We now know that Cadinal Ratzinger made a schismatic mistake on the Council.

Girls are hitting puberty earlier than ever before — and the numbers are shocking. In the late 1800s, the average age was around 16–17. By the early 1900s it had dropped to 12.5–13. Today it’s down to about 11, with some Black and Hispanic girls showing signs as early as 8, 9, or even 6–7 years old — the earliest recorded in history. Patrick Bet-David asked FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary why this is happening. Makary pointed to the modern environment: constant exposure to substances and chemicals with estrogen-like binding properties (found even in river water) that partially activate estrogen receptors. He called it a “huge issue” and an existential threat to human development, noting the age has been dropping by about a week and a half every year for the last 30 years. He also mentioned that in Europe, where some of these exposures may be lower, puberty still starts later (14–15 in some cases), and that American medicine has largely treated this as a minor footnote rather than …sɔgbɔ ɖe edzi

Widespread Rise in Catholic Baptisms Across the Globe

Many dioceses across Europe, North America, and Asia have seen significant increases in Catholic baptisms and conversions this Easter. The strange thing is that anti-Catholic media including New York Times, Washington Post or CNN advertised this trend.
The most significant increase was reported in France, where 21,386 catechumens were baptized during the Easter Vigil. The total included more than 13,000 adults and over 8,000 adolescents, marking the highest figure ever recorded in the country.
Outside Europe, large numbers were also reported in parts of Asia. In Hong Kong, approximately 2,500 catechumens were baptized, while Singapore reported 1,089 catechumens entering the Church.
In North America, several major dioceses published substantial baptism figures. The Archdiocese of Toronto reported 1,584 catechumens, while Vancouver recorded around 650 catechumens.
In the United States, diocesan figures included approximately 900 catechumens in Richmond (Virginia), more than 680 in …sɔgbɔ ɖe edzi

Scott Ritter guest on Daniel Davis deep dive.

1. The War Was Predictably Destabilizing The speaker begins by saying any competent analyst should have known that attacking Iran would disrupt global energy markets. Iran has the capability to interfere with oil flows (especially in key shipping lanes), so economic fallout was a “known known”—not a surprise. 2. Failure to Build International Support They contrast this conflict with earlier U.S. wars: 1991 Gulf War: A broad coalition was built before combat—European allies, Arab states, and NATO partners were aligned. 2003 Iraq War: Even though controversial, the U.S. at least attempted to gain NATO backing and international legitimacy. Current situation: No real diplomatic effort was made to build a coalition. Europe is refusing to participate. European economies are already strained (e.g., from Russia sanctions), and this war is worsening their situation. Conclusion: The U.S. acted unilaterally and now stands isolated. 3. No Serious War Planning The speaker argues the war was launched …sɔgbɔ ɖe edzi
